Because sharing knowledge and information is essential in a complex world, the association publishes The Sifter, a newsletter designed to provide an ongoing information source about association programs, activities and related matters.
The Sifter
is published 10 times per year (September through June), and all current
members receive copies by mail. Two issues each year are also sent to
every active UW employee and every UW retiree whether or not they are
members.

The association also works with the UW-Madison Office of News and Public Affairs to communicate its message throughout the University (primarily through the campus newspaper, Wisconsin Week) and into the local community.
